Job summary

NYP Nanyang Polytechnic is seeking a designer-educator with a strong Industrial/Product Design background to lead the Diploma in Experience Design. You will shape future designers through teaching, curriculum development and industry collaboration.

You will mentor students on industry projects, guide human-centered design methods, and drive cross-disciplinary learning that links products, services, spaces and digital experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in Industrial/Product Design with 5+ years industry background.
• Strong portfolio in product innovation and human-centered design.
• Experience teaching or mentoring design teams is advantageous.
• Able to guide projects from concept to prototyping and testing.

Responsibilities

• Teach experience design topics and develop curriculum, learning resources and assessments.
• Mentor students on industry projects, exhibitions and multidisciplinary collaborations.
• Provide thought leadership in Industrial and Product Design within Experience Design.
• Lead industry collaborations, consultancy projects and applied research in experience design and emerging technologies.
• Keep curriculum current with AI-assisted ideation, sustainable product systems and circular design.
