NYP International seeks an experienced designer to shape the Diploma in Experience Design, bringing an Industrial and Product Design lens to help students understand how human-centred design, product innovation, and systems thinking come together to create cohesive experiences.

You will develop curriculum, mentor students through industry projects and collaborations, and guide projects from ideation to prototyping within an experiential design context.

Qualifications

• Requires qualification in Industrial Design or Product Design with relevant industry experience.
• Strong portfolio showing product innovation and human-centred design.
• Experience in design research, prototyping, testing, and product development.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, ergonomics and product development methodologies.
• Ability to work across disciplines and integrate products, services, spaces and digital technologies.
• Interest in sustainability, inclusive design and emerging technologies.
• Passion for education, mentoring and nurturing the next generation of designers.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and project management skills.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, training or leading design teams is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Conduct lessons and develop curriculum, learning resources and assessments in experience design and related areas.
• Bring Industrial and Product Design expertise into multidisciplinary learning experiences.
• Provide thought leadership within the Experience Design curriculum.
• Mentor and supervise students on industry projects, exhibitions and collaborations.
• Guide students in applying user-centred design principles and design methodologies.
• Lead or support industry collaborations, consultancy projects and applied research.
• Keep curriculum current with AI-assisted ideation, sustainable product systems and emerging manufacturing technologies.
• Build partnerships to support applied projects, internships and CET initiatives.
• Support course management, academic administration and student recruitment.
