Job summary

NYP Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore seeks an experienced designer-educator to lead the Diploma in Experience Design. You will bring Interior and Spatial Design expertise to teaching, curriculum development, and industry collaborations, shaping the next generation of experience designers.

The role blends design practice with pedagogy: mentoring students, guiding projects, and developing resources on human-centred design, placemaking, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong end-to-end design process skills.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring or leading design teams is advantageous.
• Ability to connect spatial design with products, services and digital technologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lessons and develop curriculum, learning resources and assessments for experience design.
• Mentor and supervise students on industry projects and collaborations.
• Lead or support industry partnerships, consultancy projects and CET initiatives.
• Continuously update curriculum with sustainability, smart spaces and XR-enabled experiences.
