Job summary

China Taiping Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Claims Executive to handle motor claims, gather information, and settle claims per company guidelines. The role involves liaising with claimants, business associates, and authorities when required.

The incumbent will review files, monitor recoveries, and support junior staff. Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred for communication with associates and solicitors.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder with 1+ year experience in motor claims is preferred.
• Customer centric, meticulous, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Good negotiation skills and positive attitude.
• Certificate in Commercial General Insurance and Personal General Insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all types of motor claims including recovery.
• Gather and analyse information from all sources before claim settlement.
• Ensure claims are resolved fairly according to procedures and guidelines.
• Escape suspicious claims for further investigation.
• Manage relationships and expectations of claimants and business associates.
• Review claim files and monitor recoveries.
• Contribute to projects for departmental initiatives.
• Provide administrative support to prepare monthly statistics and reports; liaise with authorities as required.
• Provide guidance to junior staff.
• Any other duties assigned by the Company/HOD/Section Manager.

Job Responsibility:

• To handle all types of motor claims including recovery.
• To gather and analyse information from all sources before claim settlement.
• To ensure all claims are resolved in fair and reasonable manner in accordance to Company’s claims procedures and guidelines.
• To escape any suspicious claims for further investigation.
• To manage relationships and expectations of claimants and business associates and if necessary, damage control.
• To review claim files and monitoring of recoveries.
• Contribute to projects surrounding departmental initiatives to meet strategic objectives.
• To provide administrative support to prepare monthly statistics and report. To be the liaison with any authority as required under the scope.
• To provide guidance to junior staff.
• Any other jobs assigned by the Company/HOD/Section Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma holder with at least 1 year+ working experience in similar capacity, prior experience with Motor claims in an insurance company setting will be an added advantage.
• Customer centric, meticulous and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Good negotiation skills and positive working attitude.
• Certificate in Commercial General insurance and Personal General Insurance is a must.
• Good command of verbal and written English and Mandarin (in order to liaise with the English and Mandarin speaking associates and also, to negotiate settlement with English and Mandarin speaking solicitors).
