Job summary

GMP Technologies (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an Executive, Senior Executive or Assistant Manager (Business Development) to drive growth in freight forwarding and logistics in Singapore. You will build and expand relationships with key accounts, identify new opportunities, and contribute to revenue and gross profit targets.

You should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Maritime, Supply Chain or Logistics, 1–2 years in freight forwarding or related fields, and proven sales or account management

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Maritime, Supply Chain or Logistics or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics or carrier or international trade.
• Proven experience in sales, business development or account management.
• Strong knowledge of air and/or ocean freight operations and/or supply chain processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand relationships with current allocated key customer accounts and acquire new customers to ensure revenue targets.
• Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities across air (10%), sea (90%) and road freight services.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, track progress and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding.
• Conduct regular client visits and sales meetings in Singapore.
• Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations and pricing quotations to prospective clients.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow client base within target industries.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
• Provide insights to management to enhance the company’s value proposition.
• Attend local industry events, trade shows and networking functions to represent the company and grow the brand.

Our client is a reputable Global Logistics Provider. Currently, they are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as Executive or Senior Executive or Asst Manager (Business Development).

In this role, you will be contributing in the following areas :

• Maintain and expand relationships with current allocated key customer accounts in addition to identifying and acquiring new customers to ensure budgeted revenue is maintained at a minimum, while focusing on increasing gross profit to agreed annual targets
• Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities across air (10%), sea (90%) and road freight services
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, track progress and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding
• Conduct regular client visits and sales meeting in Singapore
• Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, presentations and pricing quotations to prospective clients
• Develop and executive strategic sales plans to grow client base within target industries

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Maritime, Supply Chain or Logistics or other related field.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics or Carrier or other international trade is essential.
• Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably within freight forwarding, logistics or carrier or international trade
• Strong knowledge of air and/or ocean freight operations and/or supply chain processes
• A pro-active self-started with strong commercial acumen and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
