Job summary

PMG Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking an Event Director to lead end-to-end planning, development, and execution of onsite, virtual, and hybrid events across local and regional markets. You will mentor the Events team, manage client relationships, budgets, and vendor coordination to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a degree in events or related fields, 8–10 years of experience with leadership experience, and strong skills in project strategy, risk management, and cross-market

Qualifications

• Degree in Events Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in event management, with 3–5 years in a leadership position.
• Strong client servicing, stakeholder management, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of event production, operations, logistics, vendor management, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of events from concept to post-event evaluation with timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Act as primary client contact; translate objectives into strategies and experiences.
• Develop and manage project budgets, quotes, cost controls, and financial performance.
• Lead and guide the events team; allocate resources for cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage external partners, venues, suppliers, production houses, contractors and stakeholders.
• Oversee event operations including production, show flow, content, technical delivery, and onsite readiness.
• Identify risks and establish contingency and risk-management measures.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development and pitches.
• Mentor and develop team members to strengthen overall capabilities.

Job Summary

The Event Director is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, development, and execution of onsite, virtual, and hybrid events, as well as experiential projects, across local and regional markets. The role oversees and mentors the Events team in areas including project strategy, client management, budgeting, event operations, and vendor management to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality events that meet client objectives, timelines, and budget requirements.

Job responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of events, from conceptualisation and proposal development through event execution and post-event evaluation, ensuring timelines, deliverables, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, understanding their business objectives and translating them into effective event strategies and experiences.
• Develop and manage project budgets, quotations, cost controls, and financial performance to achieve targeted project margins.
• Lead and guide the events team, allocate resources and ensure effective collaboration across the various operational functions.
• Manage external partners, venues, suppliers, production houses, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Oversee event operations, including production, show flow, content, technical delivery, contingency planning, and onsite readiness to ensure ideas are carried through into strong event outcomes.
• Anticipate and identify potential risks and establish appropriate contingency and risk-management measures.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify opportunities for account growth, and support business development and pitches.
• Mentor and develop team members while strengthening the Event’s team’s overall capabilities.

Job Specifications

• Degree in Events Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in event management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position, preferably from a marketing agency background
• Strong client servicing, stakeholder management, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of event production, operations, logistics, vendor management, and risk management.
• Candidates with strong events experience and regional exposure, including cross-market collaboration, will be considered.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders across different levels
• Able to work independently yet contribute as a team player.
• Able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and strong collaboration skills across departments and internal stakeholders.
