Job summary

NTU Library in Singapore is seeking a Service Desk Assistant to deliver high-quality services across library operations, including after-hours duties. You will assist users with borrowing, returns and inquiries, and help maintain orderly collections.

The role involves operating the Library Management System, training student staff, overseeing spaces, handling procurement support and budget tracking, contributing to safety and daily campus operations; contract duration is 1 year and deployment

Qualifications

• GCE 'O' Level or Diploma or equivalent qualification with MS Office proficiency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focus.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team with good organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and high-quality Service Desk services, including After Office Hours duties.
• Assist users with borrowing, returning, and inquiries per library policies.
• Perform collection maintenance to keep materials organised and accessible.
• Operate the Library Management System to support day-to-day operations.
• Train and guide Student Assistants in library tasks and procedures.
• Monitor spaces and report maintenance, cleanliness, and facilities issues.
• Troubleshoot basic library equipment and report faults.
• Handle rostering, procurement support, and budget tracking.
• Prepare operational statistics and reports as required.
• Support day-to-day operations and projects; contribute to safety responsibilities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the reporting officer.
