Job summary

NLCS (Singapore) PTE. LTD. seeks a Library Assistant to supervise students, shelve and maintain library resources, and assist with issuing and tracking materials. You will work closely with teachers and the Librarian, ensuring a safe and welcoming learning space.

Hours are Monday to Thursday, 3pm–6pm, for a short-term contract from October 2026 to November 2026. The role offers hands-on school-based experience supporting student learning and reading culture.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of students.
• Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned by the Librarian or school leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the library and ensure appropriate behaviour and safety.
• Shelve, organise and maintain books and other library resources.
• Assist with issuing, returning and tracking library materials.
• Keep the library clean, organised and welcoming for students.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and student welfare procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the Librarian, teachers and other school staff.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by the Librarian or school management.
