Job summary

NTI Nanofilm in Singapore seeks an Equipment Engineer to lead the full lifecycle management of production equipment, from planning and maintenance to upgrades, ensuring high reliability and efficiency. The role collaborates closely with Production and Quality to safeguard capacity, product quality and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/manufacturing engineering background with 3–5 years in manufacturing or equipment engineering, and experience in vacuum coating or PVD is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Materials/Manufacturing/Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing or equipment engineering experience is an advantage.
• Experience in vacuum coating, PVD, semiconductor, precision engineering, or surface treatment industries is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate machine/equipment usage to meet production and delivery requirements.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure reliability.
• Monitor equipment performance and analyze data to identify efficiency gaps and drive improvements.
• Plan equipment upgrades, modifications, and replacements to support capacity and tech requirements.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage installation, commissioning and qualification for new or upgraded machines.
• Maintain maintenance records, SOPs and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure equipment meets safety, quality and compliance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives on equipment efficiency, cost and safety.
