Job summary

STMICROELECTRONICS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an Equipment Engineer to maintain and improve tool performance in a cleanroom environment for quality production.

You will develop preventative maintenance plans, analyze FDC data, and train junior engineers while driving cost reductions and coordinating with vendors for relocation, startup and commissioning. This role requires hands-on problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer in Thin film (PVD).
• Experience working in LAM SABRE (Cu Plating).
• General knowledge of Risk Assessment, 8D, Ishikawa and Root Cause tools.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment performance in a cleanroom environment for quality production.
• Continually improve tool uptime availability, drive defect reduction and enhance hardware capability.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and improve MTBC.
• Analyze FDC data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimization.
• Provide On Job Training for junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Drive cost reduction projects; work with equipment vendors, Hookup and Facility Team to perform tool relocation, startup and commissioning.
• Communicate with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed; maintain 5S.
