Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineering Manager to lead and optimize Dry Etch, CVD, and PVD equipment across a high-volume semiconductor fab in Singapore. The role combines hands-on leadership with advanced technical expertise to drive uptime, reliability, and process support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years of semiconductor equipment experience with team lead or supervisor responsibilities.
• Strong technical expertise in Dry Etch, CVD, or PVD (Sputter Deposition).
• Proven experience in installation, qualification, troubleshooting, maintenance and reliability engineering.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and high-volume fab operations.
• Experience leading engineers and technicians including coaching and performance management.
• Proficiency in RCA methodologies, SPC, FMEA, and data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment performance, uptime, and reliability metrics across toolsets.
• Drive RCA for failures and implement effective corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with process engineering to translate requirements into equipment solutions.
• Troubleshoot process excursions and yield-impacting events; support qualifications and hardware upgrades.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians with focus on safety and excellence.
• Drive productivity, cost reduction, and operational excellence; champion 6S and EHS practices.
