Job summary

NTI Nanofilm in Singapore seeks an Equipment Engineer to lead the full lifecycle management of production equipment, from planning and maintenance to upgrades, ensuring high reliability and efficiency. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Materials/Manufacturing/Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing or equipment engineering experience is an advantage.
• Experience in vacuum coating, PVD, semiconductor, precision engineering, or surface treatment industries is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate machine/equipment usage to meet production and delivery requirements.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure reliability.
• Monitor equipment performance and analyze data to identify efficiency gaps and drive improvements.
• Plan equipment upgrades, modifications, and replacements to support capacity and tech requirements.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage installation, commissioning and qualification for new or upgraded machines.
• Maintain maintenance records, SOPs and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure equipment meets safety, quality and compliance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives on equipment efficiency, cost and safety.

Job Purpose

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle management of production equipment – encompassing usage planning, preventive and corrective maintenance, performance monitoring, and upgrading – to maximize equipment reliability, availability and efficiency. This role partners closely with Production and Quality to safeguard manufacturing capacity, product quality and on-time delivery, while driving continuous improvement in equipment utilization, cost efficiency and operational safety.

Requirements
