Job summary

STMICROELECTRONICS PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to maintain, optimize and support thin film tool performance in a cleanroom used for quality production.

You will drive uptime, reduce defects, develop preventative maintenance plans, and analyze FDC data to identify improvements. The role requires hands-on collaboration with vendors and facility teams, and training for junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer in Thin film (PVD).
• Experience working in PVD ENDURA 5500.
• General knowledge of Risk Assessment, 8D, Ishikawa and Root Cause tools.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment performance in cleanroom environment for quality production.
• Continually improve tool uptime availability, drive defect reduction and enhance hardware capability.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and improve MTBC.
• Analyze FDC data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimization.
• Provide On Job Training for junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Drive cost reduction projects.
• Work with equipment vendors, Hookup and Facility Team to perform tool relocation, startup and commissioning.
• Communicate with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed. Maintain work environment 5S.
