Job summary

NTI Nanofilm, a Singapore-based nanotechnology solutions company, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to complete drawings and 3D designs for vacuum coating equipment and automation systems. You will lead junior designers, review drawings, and resolve complex design issues to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Creo, CREO, and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical system design, preferably in vacuum coating equipment, automation systems, or automotive engine design.
• Proficient in 3D CAD design software such as Pro/ENGINEER (Creo), CREO, and SolidWorks.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead and execute machine design projects, from concept development through detailed design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare 3D mechanical designs and engineering drawings for projects using CAD and 3D design software, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, technical specifications, and company standards.
• Review and verify engineering drawings prepared by drafters to ensure accuracy, completeness, manufacturability, and adherence to design standards.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical design, assembly, and fabrication issues encountered during the manufacturing and product build process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support project proposals and ensure successful project execution.
• Lead and guide junior designers and drafters in the completion of design tasks, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
