Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers building digital systems for municipal services, websites, mobile apps, and backend platforms. You will shape architecture, drive delivery, and partner with product managers and designers to deliver secure, scalable government solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack capabilities with end-to-end ownership.
• Proven ability to design scalable, secure systems.
• Hands-on coder, comfortable with legacy systems.
• Experience with cloud environments and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with modern API and data integration patterns.
• Experience with containerization and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers across backend and frontend.
• Own features end-to-end from design to delivery.
• Architect and assess new systems and integrations.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and stakeholders.
• Improve CI/CD, observability, and deployment processes.
• Ensure security and regulatory compliance.
