Job summary

Enggsol Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to guide a team of Java and C# engineers in delivering enterprise applications. You will drive software delivery, mentor staff, and champion best practices across the full software development lifecycle.

This role requires close collaboration with product managers, architects, QA, and operations to ensure scalable, secure solutions while managing resources, setting KPIs, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on Java enterprise application development.
• Proven track record managing software delivery teams in Agile environments.
• Experience leading large-scale enterprise software projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Java and C# software engineers.
• Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and coaching.
• Foster collaborative, innovative, high-performance engineering culture.
• Manage resource allocation, workload balancing, and capacity planning.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.
• Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise Java apps.
• Adhere to best practices, coding standards, and architecture guidelines.
• Drive Agile/Scrum and continuous delivery initiatives.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Ensure quality, performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Provide technical direction on Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.
• Review designs, architecture decisions, and code quality.
• Champion engineering excellence via code reviews, automation, and DevOps.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects to align with standards.
• Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Communicate status, risks, and delivery plans to senior management.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across teams; manage external partners.
• Establish KPIs and drive process improvements; ensure security/compliance.
