Job summary

ASYS GROUP ASIA PTE. LTD. seeks a capable Field Service Engineer to perform installation, commissioning and preventive maintenance of SMT and semiconductor equipment at customer sites. You will travel locally and overseas as required and provide detailed service reports and technical documentation to customers.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, with 2–3 years’ experience preferred. Training provided and occasional standby duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of working experience preferred; fresh graduates will be considered.
• Able to travel overseas and on short notice.
• Able to interpret electrical circuit diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer site to perform installation, commissioning, field retrofit, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repairs of company products.
• Create quotes (Spare Parts/Service) and follow up with order entry and delivery.
• Submit warranty claims to headquarters.
• Prepare and submit service reports to customers on-site.
• Prepare and submit technical documents such as commissioning/installation reports and calibration reports.
• Collaborate with Sales team to support sales activities as needed.
• Provide timely reports to Service Manager on all service activities and updates.
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Handle customer questions related to technical and service problems tactfully to build rapport.

Job Summary and Key Objectives

To provide a good technical service support to customers to achieve company’s goals and objectiveand supporting company’s business growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to customer site to perform installation, commissioning, field retrofit, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repairs of company products.
• Creating quotes (Spare Parts/Service) and follow up with order entry and delivery.
• Submit warranty claims to headquarters.
• Prepare and submit service report to customer on-site.
• Prepare and submit technical documents such as commissioning/Installation reports, calibration reports, preventive maintenance reports to customers.
• Work with the Sales team to support sales activities when required.
• Timely report to Service Manager on all service activities situation and updates.
• Role requires candidate to be self-orientated and independent.
• Handle customer questions relating to technical and service problems with tactful manner and courtesy, building good rapport with customers.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the related field is preferred; fresh graduates in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering will also be considered.
• Required skills: Computer, Microsoft Office, CRM system.
• Able to travel overseas and on short notice occasionally.
• Preferably specialized in Field Service for SMT and Semiconductor Equipment/Machinery.
• Able to interpret electrical circuit diagram.
• Willing to work on standby mode by rotations.
• Able to work hands-on and familiar with machinery SMT/clean-room environment.
• Local/Overseas Training will be provided.
