Job summary

SCIMED (ASIA) PTE LTD is seeking a Service Engineer to meet daily service, calibration, maintenance and repair needs at customer sites. The role involves installation, diagnostics, and field service to ensure optimal equipment performance.

You will maintain customer relationships, prepare service reports, and identify opportunities for contract renewals. Outdoor site work and warm/humid environments are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical /Electronic/ Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
• Valid driver’s license 2/3 is advantageous.
• Basic computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, installation, calibration, maintenance services for equipment and systems.

• Maintain service logs/reports, quotations, and internal service records.
• Communicate with engineers, managers and customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.

Job description

The Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service, calibration, maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment. The individual will establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, installation, calibration, maintenance services and project involvement for various equipment, machinery and system.
• Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback.
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs/reports, providing quotations and submitting internal service records in a timely manner. Submit service reports and document all maintenance and repair work.
• Maintaining daily communications with engineers, managers and customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
• Utilising the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues. Analyse equipment performance data and make necessary adjustments or recommendations.
• Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts or contract renewals.
• Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area.

Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma in Electrical /Electronic/ Mechanical Engineering
• Possess minimum 8 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
• A valid driver's license 2/3 is advantageous
• Should have basic level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
• Candidates are required to perform outdoor servicing of equipment and work in warm/humid environment at customers' sites.
