Job summary

DKSH is seeking an Executive, Shipping Operations for a 7-month maternity cover based in Lorong Chuan, Singapore. You will manage end-to-end shipping activities, verify documents, and coordinate customs clearance across inbound and outbound operations.

You will support the team development, drive process improvements, and ensure compliant shipment execution while maintaining accurate records and responding to broker inquiries. Availability from October 2026 is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Logistics or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of logistics/freight forwarding experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Incoterms and HS codes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Submit POs to clients and verify OAs and PIs against POs, resolving price/quantity discrepancies.
• Process permit declarations upon Arrival Notices and coordinate with clearance agents for shipment release and clearance.
• Arrange import/export permit applications for cargo clearance in a timely and compliant manner.
• Monitor cargo movements and inform stakeholders of shipment status and changes.
• Provide freight quotations across Incoterms (FOB, FCA, EXW, FAS).
• Handle damaged or short-received stock claims and disputes for incidental costs.
• Maintain complete shipment records including freight charges and customs-related documents.
• Verify vendor and haulier invoices and delivery notes prior to submission.
• Respond to customs broker inquiries and update SOPs based on regulatory changes.
• Track shipping performance metrics and mentor junior staff; act as backup to Senior Executive.
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required.
