Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, order processing or purchase order administration.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar procurement systems will be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail with strong organisational and follow‑up skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable handling multiple orders and priorities in a structured work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy, following up on discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Identify and liaise with suitable vendors on pricing, product availability and delivery schedules.
• Review vendor quotations and benchmark prices against historical purchasing records.
• Maintain and update relevant price lists.
• Create new items and process purchase‑related information in SAP.
• Support new vendor onboarding, including vendor and SAP account creation processes.
• Assist with EHS assessments for new vendors where required.
• Communicate and negotiate with vendors to achieve competitive pricing and favourable purchasing terms.
• Process purchase requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs) and manage change orders within turnaround time.
• Ensure POs receive appropriate approvals and are issued to vendors and requesting users promptly.
• Follow up with vendors on order fulfilment, shipment and delivery timelines, including expediting urgent orders.
• Respond to stakeholder enquiries regarding order status, changes and cancellations.
• Support quarterly stock‑taking activities.
• Provide backup support to team members during planned and unplanned leave.
• Perform other procurement and administrative duties as assigned.
