Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a proactive Purchasing / Sales Support Specialist to manage requisitions, source vendors, and create purchase orders in SAP.

You will negotiate terms, track deliveries, and support stock control while delivering accurate documentation and timely approvals. This role requires at least N/ O level and 2 years of purchasing support experience.

Qualifications

• Min N / O level.
• Min 2 years of purchasing / sales support experience.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy; follow up on discrepancies with the initiating party/user.
• Identify suitable vendors for the requested items, including corresponding with them on prices, product availability and delivery.
• Review quotations provided and check offered prices against past purchase records.
• Update the price lists when necessary.
• New item creation in SAP.
• Check and assist with new vendor onboarding process in (email new vendor creation for, email accounts for creation in SAP).
• Assist with EHS assessment for new vendors (if required).
• Communicate and negotiate with vendors for improved purchase terms, including reduction in price.
• Process requisitions into purchase orders using the SAP system and any change orders within 24 hours upon receipt of final confirmation from initiating party/user.
• Ensure that all purchase orders are approved by the appropriate authority daily.
• Send approved purchase orders to vendors and to users initiating the requests.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure that orders are shipped and delivered on promised dates or to expedite deliveries based on users’ requests.
• Respond to stakeholders and users’ inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations.
• Perform quarterly stock take.
• Backup team members on planned and unplanned leave.
• Any other ad-hoc duties.
