Job summary

Busways Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor with 3–5 years of postgraduate experience to review tender drawings, source suppliers, estimate quantities, and prepare costing for data centres, commercial, and industrial buildings.

You will analyze specifications, prepare tender documentation, manage resources with suppliers and sub-contractors, and assist in contract administration and cost control to ensure project budgets and timely settlements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a recognized university.
• 3-5 years of postgraduate experience in design, supervision, project management, cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration for electrical disciplines.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review tender drawings and specifications to understand the scope of work for tender invitations.
• Source suppliers and request quotations.
• Estimate quantities and measure electrical services from drawings for data centres, commercial and industrial buildings.
• Prepare costing summaries and price comparisons.
• Collaborate with project engineers to ensure contract compliance and control project costs.
• Prepare progress payment claims, variation orders, and final accounts.

Position: Electrical Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

• Review tender drawings and specifications to understand the scope of work upon receiving invitations from main contractors, consultants, or clients.
• Source suppliers and request quotations.
• Estimate, take off bill quantities, and measure electrical services from tender drawings for data centres, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Conduct price comparisons and prepare costing summaries.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare all relevant administration and documentation for tender submission, including technical data, schedules of unit rates, and catalogue submissions.
• Manage resources and coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Address client inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with project engineers to ensure contract compliance and monitor project costs.
• Conduct cost analysis, contract administration, and prepare progress payment claims, variation orders, project budgets, cost control measures, and settlement of final accounts.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a recognized university.
• 3-5 years of postgraduate experience in design, supervision, project management, cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration for electrical disciplines.
• Preferably with experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Responsible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication and written skills in English.
