Job summary

STAFFLINK SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Quantity Surveying professional to manage the full pre-contract cycle for electrical works in Singapore East. The role covers tender evaluation, cost estimation, and coordination with Project, Engineering and Procurement teams.

The position is office-based with standard Monday–Friday hours (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM). Basic salary plus AWS is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
• Experience in electrical pre-contract / tendering works.
• Primarily office-based; no regular site work is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full pre-contract cycle for electrical works, from tender invitation through contract award.
• Review tender drawings, specifications, scope of works and contract requirements.
• Carry out detailed electrical quantity take-offs and prepare BOQ.
• Prepare cost estimates, tender pricing and budgetary cost plans for electrical works.
• Review electrical drawings and specifications to identify scope, quantities and potential cost implications.
• Prepare tender enquiries and obtain quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations for competitiveness and completeness.
• Analyse tender returns and prepare detailed commercial comparison sheets.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify discrepancies, exclusions, qualifications and commercial risks within tender submissions.
• Assist with value engineering and cost optimisation during the tender stage.
• Prepare tender evaluation reports and recommendations for management review.
• Liaise closely with the Project, Engineering and Procurement teams to ensure accurate tender pricing.
• Maintain proper records of tender documents, pricing, BOQs and commercial information.
• Support contract award and handover to the project team upon successful tender completion.

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably within the M&E / electrical construction industry.
• Experience in electrical pre-contract / tendering works.
• Experienced in electrical quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation and tender evaluation.
• Good understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and construction requirements.
• Experience in obtaining and evaluating subcontractor/supplier quotations.
