Job summary

REERACOEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an EHS Officer to ensure compliance with Singapore's WSH Act, manage risk assessments for precision engineering processes, and coordinate safety inspections across facilities in West Singapore.

You will support the QEHS Manager to drive continual improvement and EHS awareness among staff and contractors. The role involves managing emergency response plans, conducting safety training, and liaising with MOM authorities as required to uphold safety standards

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related scientific discipline.
• 2–3 years of hands-on EHS experience in metalworking or precision engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore's workplace safety and health legislation.
• Ability to conduct incident investigations and communicate EHS requirements clearly to employees, contractors and stakeholders.
• Registration as MOM MOM WSH Officer (WSHO) or Fire Safety Manager (FSM) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily shop-floor safety inspections and audits.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and drive improvements.

Location: West, Singapore

【Responsibilities】

1) Compliance & Regulations

• Implement EHS policies and procedures in accordance with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and applicable local regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and coordinate activities to ensure compliance with corporate policies and local legislation.

2) Risk Management

• Conduct risk assessments (RA) and environmental aspect and impact (EAI) assessments for precision engineering and pump overhaul processes to ensure compliance with applicable local regulations.
• Evaluate and monitor risks associated with hazardous chemical processes and exposures, ensuring effective control measures are implemented.
• Assess environmental hazards and waste management risks, and implement appropriate control measures to minimize environmental impact.

3) Safety Inspections

• Conduct daily shop-floor safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Review contractors' Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation and monitor the implementation of corrective action plans to achieve safety compliance objectives.

4) Management Systems

• Maintain and support audits of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
• Assist the QEHS Manager in achieving EHS management system objectives and collaborate with relevant departments to drive continual improvement and implement EHS awareness programme.

5) Emergency Response

• Assist the Facility Safety Manager (FSM) in coordinating and managing the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) and first-aid personnel.
• Review and maintain Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and EHS policies to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with applicable local legal requirements.

6) Training & Safety Culture

• Conduct safety inductions and ongoing EHS awareness training for workshop staff.
• Promote environmental, health and safety awareness among employees through continuous education and engagement.
