Job summary

ByteDance’s Global Traffic Infrastructure team is hiring to build and scale the edge cloud and global traffic platform powering TikTok’s worldwide service delivery. You will focus on edge resource orchestration, traffic scheduling, cloud resource governance, and platform automation to ensure high scalability, cost efficiency, and global service stability for billions of users.

The role requires strong backend and infrastructure experience, proficiency in Go/C++/Python, and deep Kubernetes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking or related fields, with 3+ years of R&D experience in cloud platform, cloud-native, or edge infrastructure domains.
• Proficient in Go / C++ / Python, with hands-on experience building large-scale backend or infrastructure systems.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and core components, with practical experience in large-scale cluster operation and optimization.
• Familiar with virtualization and container technologies: KVM/QEMU, Virtio, container isolation, and image management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, log pipelines, and distributed tracing systems.
• Strong architectural thinking, root-cause analysis skills, independent ownership of complex module design, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design and iteration of core edge cloud products, including container, bare-metal, and network capabilities.
• Polish domain models and workflows to build stable, secure, and scalable systems for internal and external scenarios.
• Build a full-lifecycle resource operation platform covering planning, provisioning, delivery, runtime management, and billing.
