Job summary

ByteDance Edge Networking is seeking a seasoned professional to design, build, operate and optimize our global Internet Edge networks at massive scale. You will collaborate with teams spanning compute, storage, databases, and recommendation systems to drive network innovation.

The role requires strong knowledge of routing, data-center architectures, and hands-on experience with major vendors. Travel may be needed up to 30%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent with 3+ years work experience.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and MPLS.
Familiar with SNMP, Sflow/netflow, Telemetry.
Knowhow of data center architecture (CLOS).
Hands-on with major network devices (Arista, Cisco, Juniper, H3C, Huawei).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Design, build, operate, and optimize ByteDance's global Internet Edge networks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive network innovation and evolution.
Work with external vendors and ISPs for device and carrier selection, testing and verification.
Travel may be required up to 15% - 30% of the time.
