Job summary

AMERICAN EXPRESS INNOVATION LABORATORIES LIMITED (SINGAPORE BRANCH) seeks an experienced AI/ML leader to drive strategy and execution across a cross-functional team. You will collaborate with Credit, Fraud, Risk, Web, Mobile, Marketing, and Automation partners to deploy scalable AI solutions in cloud environments.

The role emphasizes research-backed AI, production deployment, and mentoring while reporting to the VP, CoE.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a STEM field; PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of full lifecycle product development and engineering leadership.
• Proven track record with AI/ML research results and publications.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML cross-functional team across business partners to enable strategic AI capabilities.
• Define deployment strategies for production AI solutions in cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Drive vision, strategy, and execution for AI initiatives across the organization.
• Mentor team members and participate in technical discussions and forums across Amex.
• Ensure code health, testing, and CI/CD practices across the portfolio.
• Stay updated with latest research and evaluate nascent ideas for real-world impact.
• Communicate complex technical topics clearly to all organizational levels.
