Job summary

American Express is seeking a seasoned AI/ML leader to drive the global strategy and execution of decision science across multiple business domains, partnering with Credit, Fraud, Risk, Web, Mobile, Marketing, and more.

Lead architecture, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver production-grade AI solutions; mentor engineers and ensure robust CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a STEM field + extensive research track record.
• 8+ years in full lifecycle product development and engineering leadership.
• 8+ years delivering AI/ML solutions at scale.
• Expertise in Generative AI, ML, DL, NLP, and related areas.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI and decision science vision, strategy, and execution across the organization.
• Design scalable AI/ML solutions for real-world problems (e.g., GenAI, Personalization, Vision, NLP).
• Lead deployment strategy for production AI in cloud at scale and ensure code health/quality.
