Addcel is seeking a skilled ACMV Design Engineer in Singapore to lead the complete design and engineering of ACMV systems from concept through implementation. You will develop comprehensive ACMV layouts, perform design calculations for cooling load and duct sizing, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure constructability and on-time delivery.
Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 3 years of ACMV design experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and familiarity

Responsible for thecomplete design and engineering of ACMV systems, from initial design concept through to detailed design and project implementation.
Develop and coordinatecomplete ACMV systems, including air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation, chilled water systems, ductwork, piping, pumps, AHU, FCU, cooling towers, chillers, exhaust systems, fresh air systems, and associated equipment.
Perform ACMV engineering calculations includingcooling load, heat load, ventilation requirements, air quantity, duct sizing, pipe sizing, pump head, pressure loss, equipment capacity, and system balancing.
Develop practical and cost-effective ACMV design solutions based on project requirements, site conditions, specifications, and applicable standards.
Prepare and reviewACMV layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, detailed drawings, equipment schedules, and technical submissions.
Review project specifications, tender drawings, design requirements, and consultant drawings to ensure complete understanding of the ACMV scope.
Coordinate ACMV systems withstructural, architectural, electrical, piping, fire protection, and other engineering disciplines.
Ensure proper system integration, equipment arrangement, accessibility, maintenance requirements, and constructability.
Review shop drawings, technical submissions, material proposals, and engineering calculations.
Provide technical support to project and site teams and resolve design, coordination, and installation issues.
Conduct site inspections and verify that ACMV installations are in accordance with approved designs and project requirements.
Liaise withclients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teamson technical and design matters.
Assist withtesting, commissioning, troubleshooting, balancing, and handoverof ACMV systems.
Ensure designs comply with relevantSingapore codes, standards, authority requirements, project specifications, and safety requirements.
Take ownership of assigned design work and ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within project timelines.
Degree inMechanical Engineeringor a related discipline.
Minimum3 years of relevant ACMV design and engineering experience.
Must have strong and comprehensive knowledge of the full ACMV system, from design concept and calculations through to installation, testing, commissioning, and operation.
Strong understanding ofchilled water systems, air-conditioning systems, mechanical ventilation, fresh air systems, exhaust systems, ductwork, chilled water piping, pumps, AHU, FCU, chillers, cooling towers, and associated ACMV equipment.
Able to independently carry out ACMV design calculations, equipment selection, system sizing, and technical design development.
Proficient inAutoCAD; knowledge ofRevit MEP / BIMwill be an advantage.
Able to read, understand, and interpretMEP drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documents.
Familiar with relevantSingapore codes, standards, authority requirements, and ACMV industry practices.
Experience insemiconductor, data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial projectswill be an advantage.
Strong technical knowledge with goodproblem-solving and engineering judgement.
Good coordination and communication skills with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams.
Able to work independently and takefull ownership of design responsibilities.
