Job summary

Fortuna Air-Conditioning & Electrical Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled ACMV Draftsman to prepare AutoCAD drawings from contract documents and site requirements. You will develop shop drawings and coordinate ACMV services with architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of ACMV drafting experience in Singapore and are proficient in reading multi-disciplinary drawings, with familiarity of local authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Drafting or related discipline.
• 2-3 years ACMV drafting experience in Singapore preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Ability to read architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction practices and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ACMV drawings using AutoCAD from contract drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and site requirements.
• Develop detailed ACMV shop drawings from consultant tender or construction drawings.
• Coordinate ACMV services with architectural layouts, ceilings, structural beams and electrical systems; identify clashes.
• Prepare coordinated sections and practical routing solutions for review by the Project Engineer/Project Manager.
• Update drawings following coordination meetings, consultant comments and approved site instructions.

Key Responsibilities

1. ACMV Drawing Preparation

• Prepare ACMV drawings using AutoCAD based on contract drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and site requirements.


• Produce drawings for: Air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation layouts. Supply, return, fresh-air and exhaust-air ductwork. Refrigerant and chilled-water piping. Condensate drain piping. FCUs, AHUs, PAHUs, VRV/VRF systems and condensing units. Ventilation fans, louvers, grilles and diffusers. Motorised dampers, volume control dampers and fire dampers. Equipment bases, supports, access platforms and service clearances. Control panels, sensors and ACMV control schematics


• Prepare plans, sections, elevations, enlarged details and typical installation details.


• Indicate duct and pipe sizes, airflow, levels, dimensions, equipment references and installation notes clearly.

2. Shop and Coordination Drawings

• Develop detailed ACMV shop drawings from consultant tender or construction drawings.


• Coordinate ACMV services with: Architectural layouts and ceiling plans. Structural beams, columns and slabs. Electrical systems and cable containment. Plumbing and sanitary services. Fire protection systems. Other mechanical and specialist services


• Identify clashes, insufficient ceiling space, inaccessible equipment and routing conflicts.


• Prepare coordinated sections and propose practical routing solutions for review by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.


• Update drawings following coordination meetings, consultant comments and approved site instructions.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Drafting or a related discipline.


• At least 2-3 years of ACMV drafting experience in Singapore preferred.


• Proficient in AutoCAD.


• Ability to read architectural, structural and M&E drawings.


• Good understanding of ACMV ductwork, refrigerant piping, chilled-water piping, drainage and equipment installation.


• Familiarity with Singapore construction practices and authority requirements.
