Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an ACMV Design Engineer / BIM Modeller in Singapore to draft shop drawings, develop BIM models, and ensure BEP-compliant deliverables. You will work with the Design & Drafting Department, applying BIM standards to ACMV systems and coordinating with project teams.

A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years in construction are required, with strong Revit MEP and BIM software skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Proficient in BIM and design tools: Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, MS Office.
• Strong ACMV design knowledge, standards and codes.
• Familiar with ETTV, RETV and RTTV calculations.
• Knowledge of Singapore BIM Guidelines and local codes.
• Familiar with BIM coordination processes.
• SEC(K) certification is required.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare shop drawings for ACMV systems including components.
• Develop detailed 3D BIM models of ACMV systems.
• Ensure BIM outputs comply with BEP, BEP guidelines and project specs.
• Perform engineering calculations: heat load, ESP, pump friction loss.
• Review designs, measurements and drawings; support on-site issue resolution.
• Create Revit families for ACMV up to LOD 500.
• Assist project team with coordination and technical solutions.
• Prepare submission drawings per authorities' requirements.
• Collaborate with Project In-Charge to timely deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and quality standards.

About the role

ACMV Design Engineer / BIM Modeller role within the Design & Drafting Department. The position involves drafting and preparing shop drawings for ACMV systems, developing detailed 3D BIM models, and ensuring compliance with BIM Execution Plans and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and prepare shop drawings for ACMV systems, including structures, components, and equipment

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models of ACMV systems, including ductwork, piping, equipment, and associated components, based on design specifications and calculations

• Ensure BIM models and drawings comply with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project workflows, Singapore BIM Guidelines, and project specifications

• Perform engineering calculations including heat load, external static pressure (ESP), and pump friction loss to support design development

• Review design specifications, measurements, and drawings, and support resolution of on-site issues and design changes

• Create and develop Revit families for ACMV up to LOD 500

• Assist project team in providing architectural coordination and technical solutions

• Prepare submission drawings in compliance with relevant authorities' requirements and guidelines

• Collaborate closely with Project In-Charge to ensure timely completion of deliverables

• Ensure all works comply with company policies, ISO procedures, and quality standards

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry

• Proficient in BIM and design software including Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk applications, MS Office, and E20 software

• Strong understanding of ACMV design principles, industry standards, and codes

• Familiar with ETTV, RETV, and RTTV calculations

• Familiar with Singapore BIM Guidelines, local building codes, and BIM coordination processes

• Knowledge of Green Mark Version requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot design issues

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a project team environment

• Must have a valid SEC(K) certification
