A leading financial institution in Singapore seeks a Deputy Head of Regional Credit to lead structuring and negotiation of financing solutions and conduct comprehensive credit analysis across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in credit and lending, along with strong communication skills and a proven track record in complex credit transactions. Mentoring junior analysts and ensuring compliance with risk policies will be key aspects of this role.
Serve as a trusted partner in structuring and negotiating financing solutions alongside client-facing teams.
Conduct comprehensive credit analysis spanning multiple jurisdictions, assessing financial statements, cash flows, collateral, and risk mitigants.
Provide clear and well-supported credit recommendations for approval by the credit committee.
Draft, review, and negotiate key credit documents, ensuring compliance with established risk policies and regulatory standards.
Act as deputy to the Head of Regional Credit, ensuring seamless decision-making and execution in their absence.
Mentor and guide junior credit analysts, promoting high standards of credit assessment and reporting.
Assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring, ensuring covenant compliance and early identification of risks.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, and Finance, on various projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in credit and lending, with a preference for candidates at the Vice President/Senior Vice President level.
Strong foundation in accounting principles and credit analysis, capable of understanding the implications of differing accounting standards on credit risk.
Proven track record in structuring and evaluating complex credit transactions, including bespoke financing solutions.
Familiarity with loan documentation and security structures throughout various jurisdictions in the region.
Demonstrated ability to present independent credit assessments and suggest effective risk mitigation strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain and share credit perspectives confidently to stakeholders.
Effective in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with adeptness in professional engagement.
Experience in leading and developing junior team members is essential.
