Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a small team of data scientists and analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical direction
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced data analytics, machine learning, and statistical models to support aerospace operations
- Partner with engineering, operations, MRO, and business stakeholders to identify challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Drive analytics initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and decision-making
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Review data quality, governance practices, and analytics methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Stay updated on data science trends, tools, and best practices, and apply relevant techniques to ongoing projects
- Support multiple analytics projects concurrently while ensuring timely delivery and impact
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or related disciplines is preferred
- Proven experience in a senior, lead, or supervisory data science role, with the ability to manage and guide a small team
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks
- Solid experience in statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and data-driven problem solving
- Able to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to business and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment with multiple stakeholders
- Exposure to aerospace systems, engineering systems, or MRO platforms is an added advantage
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) is advantageous
- Strong leadership presence, good communication skills, and suitable personality to take on a team lead role
