Job summary

ByteDance Singapore is seeking a Server Operations Engineer to manage a massive server fleet and drive automation across operations. You will oversee server operation and maintenance, firmware and BMC management, and contribute to the design of automated processes to ensure high availability.

We value strong Linux experience, scripting skills in Shell, Python or Go, and a proactive mindset for solving complex hardware and software issues in a fast-paced environment at ByteDance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in CS/EE/Automation or related fields.
• Experience with large-scale server infrastructure management preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage large-scale servers, including firmware and BMC management, plus related automation.
• Develop automated tools for operation, maintenance commands, scripts, and firmware upgrades.
• Build automated BMC management networks with security and network teams.
• Daily operation/maintenance of hardware/software, online troubleshooting, fault handling, analysis.
• Develop software and tools to ensure efficient operation of maintenance services.
