Job summary

ByteDance is hiring a datacenter facility operations specialist in Singapore to deliver reliable, sustainable management of hyperscale datacenter infrastructure with global influence on critical facility processes.

You will participate in planning, construction, operation and ongoing optimization of the CoLocation Data Center infrastructure, owning end-to-end change management for high-risk activities and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or professional certification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or related facility engineering discipline)
• 5+ years of datacenter facility operations experience
• Proven experience implementing facility power redundancy designs (2N, N+1) in production environments
• Deep understanding of cooling redundancy strategies for uninterrupted operations
• Hands-on experience maintaining critical datacenter systems: generators, chillers, UPS, electrical sub-distribution

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and construction of CoLocation Data Center infrastructure projects and ensure smooth delivery
• Operate CoLocation Data center infrastructure ensuring stability and ongoing optimization
• Own end-to-end change management for high-risk datacenter maintenance activities
• Moderate data center operation, report events and track faults to improve service capabilities
• Maintain partnerships with vendors and internal teams to support facility delivery
• Conduct regular audits of CoLocation providers’ maintenance programs and collaborate on improvements
• Support the DC Operations team as a Subject Matter Expert to manage design limitations and risks
• Supervise data hall fit-outs with coordination of IT services, power, and cooling infrastructure
