Job summary

REGIONAL ENERGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Costing Manager / Assistant Costing Manager (Data Center) for a Tokyo-based project.

The role involves owning cost planning and control for a data center, from early estimates to final accounts, with regular English reporting to clients. The position requires strong expertise in cost drivers for data centers, Japanese market rates, and bilingual Japanese-English communication. It is a secondment from Regional Energy Pte.

Qualifications

8+ years in construction cost management; 5+ years on data center or MEP-heavy projects.
Pre- and post-contract cost management on large projects in Japan with knowledge of local estimating practices.
JLPT N2+ and business-level English preferred.

Responsibilities

Cost planning and estimating using market rates and benchmarks.
Set up cost breakdown structure and control budget for building, MEP, owner-furnished equipment, soft costs and contingency.
Prepare or check quantities and bills of quantities for tender.
Analyse tender returns and support negotiations.
Track costs, maintain estimates-at-completion and cash-flow forecasts.
Lead value engineering and capture actual costs for benchmarking.
