Job summary

SEA Singapore is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join the Data Center Engineering team. You will support cost planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial management for data center projects.

Responsibilities include cost estimation, tender documentation, and cost reporting, with exposure to CSA and M&E works. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with industry contracts are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Economics, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying, construction cost management, consultancy, procurement or contract administration.
• Experience with a quantity surveying / cost consultancy or construction-related commercial team is strongly preferred.
• Experience in CSA quantity surveying and cost management is preferred; M&E quantity surveying experience is a plus.
• Proficient in cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and final account preparation.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and review of project cost estimates, budgets, cost plans, cash-flow forecasts and financial reports.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, measurement, preparation and review of BQ, SOR and cost assessments for CSA and M&E works.
• Work with senior Cost Manager on cost control, budget monitoring, cost reporting and risk identification.
• Assist in preparing tender documentation, pricing schedules, and procurement strategies.
• Participate in tender evaluations, including bid comparisons and award recommendations.
• Support contract administration activities, including review of claims and variation orders.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and evaluate alternative methods for cost savings.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess commercial implications of technical specs.
