Job summary

LEGION EXPRESS PTE. LTD. is looking for an Operations Officer to manage the full import process for designated accounts. The candidate will liaise with overseas offices and partners, ensuring compliance with Singapore customs regulations.

The ideal applicant should be a Singapore citizen or PR, possess Sec/GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Levels, and be conversant in both Mandarin and English to support communications with Chinese customers. Experience in a similar industry is preferred.

We are an established import/export & courier company (located in the east), currently expanding & offering rewarding careers to potential candidates to join us immediately as Operations Officer:

Overview

To be responsible for managing the full import process for a shipment for specified accounts, from start to finish.

To liaise with overseas offices, partners and agents. To assist in the smooth running of operations for the department.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the customs regulations of Singapore.
• Manage goods for assigned accounts; from charging, costing and arranging movement of goods & consignments.
• Provide rates/billing info on shipments.
• Prepare and review documentation for Customs compliance and other governmental entities.
• Data entry for shipping and freight manifests.
• Manage customer requests via phone and email.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with internal and external customers.
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Singapore citizen or PR.
• Must possess at least Sec/GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Levels.
• Conversant in Mandarin and English (MUST to liaise with China customers).
• At least 1-2 years’ experience in similar industry preferred.
