Job summary

Airfreight Specialist role with a local freight forwarder located at Changi Airfreight Centre. You will handle cargo bookings, plan flights, and monitor capacity while addressing customer inquiries efficiently.

Coordinate interline connections, manage disruptions, and work closely with sales/ops on capacity requirements and priorities. A 2–3 year track record in air cargo reservations and familiarity with Cargospot/SkyChain/Mercator are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in air cargo reservations or related roles.
• Experience with cargo reservation systems (Cargospot, SkyChain, Mercator).
• Knowledge of airfreight booking procedures, payload optimization, interline connections.
• IATA standards and DGR familiarity is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Airfreight Specialist

We are representing our client a local freight forwarder located in Changi Airfreight Centre to hire for Airfreight Specialist

• Handle cargo bookings for both direct and interline flights, including reservations, amendments, cancellations and customer enquiries.
• Perform flight planning based on available payload, capacity and booking levels to optimize flight utilization.
• Monitor booking levels, no-shows, offloads and shipment recovery.
• Manage booking allocation and cargo prioritization based on available capacity and operational requirements.
• Provide customers with timely updates on booking status, flight changes, delays, offloads and operational disruptions.
• Coordinate and follow up on interline connections and onward movement of shipments.
• Monitor shipment movements and follow up on irregularities, delays, short-shipped cargo and other service issues.
• Arrange shipment recovery, rebooking and alternative flight options in the event of offloads, cancellations or disruptions.
• Coordinate closely with sales and operations on capacity requirements, booking priorities and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in air cargo reservations, flight capacity planning, or cargo operations within an airline, GSA, or freight forwarder.
• Hands-on experience with cargo reservation systems (e.g., Cargospot, SkyChain, Mercator)
• Strong knowledge of airfreight booking procedures, payload/capacity optimization, and interline connections.
• Familiarity with IATA standards and Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) is a strong advantage.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills to manage flight disruptions, offloads, and shipment recovery efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills for clear stakeholder and customer coordination.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive operational environment.

Working Hours : Mon-Friday 8.30AM - 6.00PM | Alternate Saturday 9.00AM -12.30PM
