Job summary

AlpSoft Technologies Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Field/Technical Support Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support for semiconductor equipment and systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, software and system-related issues, support Level 1/2 engineers, perform RCA using 8D diagrams, analyze performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in technical support, troubleshooting or equipment engineering.
• Good understanding of electrical, mechanical and software diagnostic techniques.
• Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 8D and Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal and customer support skills.
• Ability to manage multiple technical issues and improvement projects independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical documentation.
• Semiconductor industry experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software and system-related issues.
• Support L1/L2 Field Service Engineers on system breakdowns, installations, upgrades and maintenance escalations.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), prepare 8D reports and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Analyse equipment performance data, identify trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot software applications, computer hardware and Ethernet network communication issues.
• Provide technical training and guidance to customers and field service engineers.
• Coordinate with regional and global technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Provide 24/7 technical support when required and participate in overseas assignments.
