Job summary

AlpSoft Technologies Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to provide remote and on-site assistance for semiconductor equipment. You will diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and software issues and support field service engineers across multiple regions.

The role demands strong RCA skills, analytical reporting, and the ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously. Knowledge of 8D/Fishbone methods and proficiency in MS Office are required; semiconductor experience

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in technical support or equipment engineering.
• Good electrical, mechanical and software diagnostic knowledge.
• Experience with 8D and Ishikawa root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple issues and projects independently.
• Proficient in MS Office and technical documentation.
• Semiconductor industry experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software and system-related issues.
• Support L1/L2 Field Service Engineers on system breakdowns, installations, upgrades and maintenance escalations.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), prepare 8D reports and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Analyse equipment performance data, identify trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot software applications, computer hardware and Ethernet network communication issues.
• Provide technical training and guidance to customers and field service engineers.
• Coordinate with regional and global technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Provide 24/7 technical support when required and participate in overseas assignments.
