Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Operations Leader to oversee nationwide freight forwarding and logistics, driving service excellence and revenue growth.

You will lead and develop diverse operations teams, manage budgets, align with commercial teams on opportunities, and implement strategic initiatives for sustainable growth in Singapore and across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• 7+ years in freight forwarding, international transportation, airfreight, logistics, or related industry with leadership experience.
• Proven track record in operations management and business growth.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead nationwide operations to achieve service, operational, and revenue targets.
• Oversee, coach, and develop operational teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage operational budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, priorities, and performance objectives.
• Drive operational efficiency, process improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Monitor and ensure achievement of operational KPIs, financial targets, and budget goals.
• Lead both short-term and long-term operational planning, including contingency planning.
• Work with commercial teams to identify new business opportunities and enhance service offerings.
• Support the successful launch of new branches/stations and related public relations activities.
• Partner with senior management on strategic planning and country-level business initiatives.
• Establish effective controls, systems, and processes to support sustainable growth.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of operational activities to ensure compliance and performance standards.
