Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a motivated Controls Project Engineer – Programming in Singapore to support on-site projects for HVAC and building management systems. You will program devices, develop graphics, and help validate and commission systems at customer locations.

The role requires Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or Building Control and 1–2 years of relevant PLC programming or building automation experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or Building Control required.
• Experience with PLC programming and building automation is advantageous.
• Knowledge of IT networking and control system protocols is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to project team from validation phase to project implementation.
• Identify type of material and equipment requirement during validation phase.
• Involve in preparation and submission of engineering submittals.
• Programming of devices and creating graphics according to project requirements.
• Assist in Test and Commissioning of system equipment.
• Assist in preparation and submission of operation and maintenance manuals.
• Provide Bill of Quantity for the projects.
• Ensure all works comply with specified quality and EHS standards.

Controls Project Engineer – Programming

Trane is a US company owned by Trane Technologies. We are a world leader in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning) equipment & systems, services & solutions.

Responsibilities

• To provide engineering support to the Project team from validation phase to project implementation
• To identify type of material and equipment requirement during validation phase.
• To involve in preparation and submission of engineering submittals.
• Programming of devices & creating and programming graphics in accordance with the project requirement.
• To assist in Test and Commissioning of system equipment.
• To assist in preparation and submission of operation and Maintenance Manuals.
• To provide Bill of Quantity for the projects.
• Any other duties as assigned by superior
• Ensure all works carried out in accordance with the specified quality and EHS standards

Requirements

• Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or Building Control in relevant field
• Min 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in PLC programming is added advantage
• Experience in handling energy management systems/ HVAC systems/ Chiller Plant systems/ Building Management Systems will be a plus
• Knowledge of IT networking and database programming, Function Block programming, Structured Language Programming or HTML5 programming will be of added advantage
• Knowledge of industrial system protocols like BACnet, Modbus, LONTalk
• Strong customer management and problem solving skills
• Able to work with the team and self-motivated
