Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Controls Project Engineer – Programming in Singapore. The role involves providing engineering support from validation to project implementation, determining material requirements, and programming devices to meet project specifications.

Responsibilities include submission of engineering submittals, assisting in testing/commissioning, and producing operation manuals. The candidate should have 1–2 years of relevant experience and PLC programming skills, with

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or Building Control in relevant field.
• Min 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in PLC programming is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of IT networking and database programming is beneficial.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (BACnet/Modbus/LONTalk) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to the Project team from validation to project implementation.
• Identify material and equipment requirements during validation.
• Prepare and submit engineering submittals.
• Program devices and create graphics per project requirements.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of system equipment.
• Assist in preparation and submission of operation and maintenance manuals.
• Provide BoQ for projects.
• Adhere to quality and EHS standards.

Controls Project Engineer – Programming

Trane is a US company owned by Trane Technologies. We are a world leader in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning) equipment & systems, services & solutions.

Responsibilities

• To provide engineering support to the Project team from validation phase to project implementation
• To identify type of material and equipment requirement during validation phase.
• To involve in preparation and submission of engineering submittals.
• Programming of devices & creating and programming graphics in accordance with the project requirement.
• To assist in Test and Commissioning of system equipment.
• To assist in preparation and submission of operation and Maintenance Manuals.
• To provide Bill of Quantity for the projects.
• Any other duties as assigned by superior
• Ensure all works carried out in accordance with the specified quality and EHS standards

Requirements

• Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or Building Control in relevant field
• Min 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in PLC programming is added advantage
• Experience in handling energy management systems/ HVAC systems/ Chiller Plant systems/ Building Management Systems will be a plus
• Knowledge of IT networking and database programming, Function Block programming, Structured Language Programming or HTML5 programming will be of added advantage
• Knowledge of industrial system protocols like BACnet, Modbus, LONTalk
• Strong customer management and problem solving skills
• Able to work with the team and self-motivated
