Job summary

Carrier is seeking an engineer to support design, planning, testing, commissioning, and on-site supervision of Building Management Systems (BMS) in line with project plans. The role covers HVAC, energy management, and smart building technologies.

Responsibilities include testing and commissioning for BMS, FAS, and Security Systems, preparing technical submittals, and providing after-service follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction. A diploma or degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Interest in building automation and energy efficiency.
• Experience with control systems or IT networks is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, planning, testing, and commissioning of BMS and related systems.
• Provide engineering support and on-site supervision for project sites.
• Prepare technical submittals, method statements, and OSE/ O&M documentation.
• Assist in after-sales follow-up and issue resolution.

Job description

Role Responsibilities

• Report directly to Manager or Project Manager, providing engineering support with overseeing assigned project and contract sites to ensure effective daily operations, customer satisfaction, and performance management.
• Responsible for the design, planning, testing, commissioning, software programming, and on-site supervision of BMS in line with project plans and contract specifications.
• Conduct testing and commissioning for BMS, FAS, and Security Systems, including preparation of technical submittals, method statements, compliance documentation, OSE Report and O&M manuals.
• Provide after service follow up and solution to maintain customers' control or BMS system

Role Purpose

• Support system setup, programming, and commissioning activities.
• Support project manager with project execution, testing, and troubleshooting,
• and gaining hands-on experience in HVAC, energy management, and building automation.
• Acquire and apply technical knowledge in HVAC systems, energy management, and building automation technologies.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Degree qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• Demonstrate interest in building automation, energy efficiency, and smart building technologies.
• Experiences in control systems or IT networks is beneficial.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in Building Management Systems (BMS), with a good understanding of HVAC systems, lighting controls, and building automation technologies.
• Knowledge of building automation protocols, programming language and system integration.
• Display strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication capabilities.
• Capable working in construction area or high stress environment.
• Willing to work in odd working hours, e.g.: after working hours or midnight.
