Control System Application Engineer

Job summary

ENGIE Southeast Asia is seeking a skilled engineer to program, commission, and support BMS and HVAC control systems across building services in Singapore.

You will develop SCADA graphics, function blocks, and dashboards to monitor chilled water, air handling and pumps; perform QA/QC; create control schematics and schedules; and supervise site testing and commissioning while coordinating documentation with project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Automation/Building Technology) or equivalent
• At least 3 years of HVAC and BMS site installation, retrofit and maintenance experience
• Ability to program and commission BMS and control systems for monitoring building services
• Proficiency in BACnet (IP and MS/TP) and Modbus (TCP/RTU) and related networking
• Strong safety mindset and good WSH practices

Responsibilities

• Program functional analysis based on Sequence of Operation (SOO) and develop function blocks.
• Create SCADA graphics, interfaces, alarms and dashboards to monitor and control utility services such as Chilled water, Air compressors, Glycol, Steam and Thermal Oil Heater.
• Perform QA/QC for the project deliverables.
• Develop control system schematics, panel layout drawings, control diagrams, control function blocks, write up of systems, cable schedule and data point schedule.
• Conduct and/or Supervise site systems testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate, track and report documentation changes during project execution.
• Update Application/Programming project progress in timely manner.
• Support Service team engineers during servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing control systems.
• Support senior Engineer for Technical Bill of Materials such as BMS Controllers, Gateways, SCADA Licenses from design to project completion.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Automation/Building Technology) or equivalent
• At least 3 years experience in HVAC and BMS in system site installation, retroft and maintenance preferably
• Ability to program and commission BMS and Control System to monitor and regulate various building services, including chillers, heat exchangers, ACMV, lighting and power metering, etc.
• Profciency in BACnet protocol including IP and MS/TP, Modbus protocol including TCP and RTU and Networking Servers and Client Workstations
• Knowledge of HVAC Control Applications, Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Management Systems
• Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour
