Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer to maintain daily BAU operations in a fast-paced end-user environment. You will troubleshoot L1/L2 incidents, support network and server infrastructure, and ensure system availability and performance.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a IT-related diploma or degree, and strong ITIL-informed incident and change management practices. Collaborative teamwork across network and server teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure support, IT operations or similar role.
• Hands-on BAU infrastructure support in an end-user environment.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and basic routing/switching.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem and change management.
• Good communication and cross-functional teamwork.
• Able to work in a fast-paced operational environment and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation of incidents, resolutions and procedures.
• Follow ITIL, change and incident management procedures.
• Support infrastructure projects and improvement initiatives.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day BAU infrastructure operational support within an end-user environment.
• Perform L1/L2 troubleshooting and incident resolution for infrastructure-related issues.
• Support network infrastructure, including basic troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls, connectivity and network access issues.
• Support server infrastructure, including Windows/Linux servers, system availability, performance and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor infrastructure systems and respond to alerts, incidents and service requests.
• Perform basic health checks, troubleshooting, maintenance and operational tasks across infrastructure environments.
• Work with network and server teams to investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents.
• Escalate complex issues to the relevant L2/L3 infrastructure, network or vendor teams when required.
• Assist with user-facing infrastructure issues involving connectivity, access, servers and other IT infrastructure services.
• Participate in infrastructure changes, patching, maintenance and planned activities where required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions and infrastructure procedures.
• Follow established ITIL, change management, incident management and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely resolution of infrastructure-related issues.
• Support infrastructure projects and improvement initiatives when required.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure support, IT operations, system administration or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience providing BAU infrastructure support in an end-user environment.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and basic routing/switching.
• Experience supporting Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Familiarity with network and server monitoring tools.
• Experience handling L1/L2 infrastructure incidents and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes, particularly incident, problem and change management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with infrastructure and cross-functional teams.
• Able to work in a fast-paced operational environment and respond effectively to infrastructure incidents.
