Job summary

Good co India is seeking a senior IT Infrastructure Lead to drive strategy, architecture, and lifecycle management across servers, networks, cloud, virtualization, storage, and end-user platforms. You will ensure high availability, security, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/CE or related field.
• 5–10 years IT infrastructure experience with technical/team leadership.
• Strong expertise in Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, networking, storage, and data center infra.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), preferably hybrid-cloud.
• ITIL/ITSM, incident/change/problem management, SLAs, governance & compliance.
• Experience managing vendors, budgets, projects, and tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure projects including cloud migration, modernization, virtualization, network upgrades and tech implementations.
• Manage Windows/Linux servers, VMware/Hyper-V, storage, backup, networking, and cloud platforms.
• Drive monitoring, capacity planning, patching, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and RCA.
• Define disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and RPO/RTO strategies.
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and CI/CD.
• Manage vendors, SLAs, budgets, standards, documentation, and processes.
• Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers while coordinating with Security, Applications, Cloud, DevOps and business teams.
• Act as technical escalation point for complex infra issues and major incidents.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, operations, and lifecycle management across servers, networks, cloud, virtualization, storage, and end-user platforms.
• Ensure high availability, performance, security, resilience, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure.
• Lead infrastructure projects including cloud migration, modernization, virtualization, network upgrades, and technology implementations.
• Manage Windows/Linux servers, VMware/Hyper-V, storage, backup, networking, and cloud platforms.
• Drive monitoring, capacity planning, patching, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Define and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and RPO/RTO strategies.
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and CI/CD where appropriate.
• Manage vendors, SLAs, budgets, infrastructure standards, documentation, and operational processes.
• Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers while coordinating with Security, Applications, Cloud, DevOps, and business teams.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and major incidents.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of IT infrastructure experience, including technical/team leadership.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, networking, storage, backup, and data center infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, preferably in hybrid-cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and network security.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, monitoring, patch management, vulnerability management, and IT security.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell/Python, CI/CD, Git, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM, incident/change/problem management, SLAs, governance, and compliance.
• Experience managing vendors, infrastructure projects, budgets, and technical teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, troubleshooting, and technical leadership skills.
• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP, Azure/AWS, RHCE, ITIL, or PMP are an advantage.
