Job Description
The Operations – Gaming, Shift ITFM Infrastructure Engineer I is responsible for supporting and maintaining mission-critical IT infrastructure within data center environments. The role involves network infrastructure support, server and hardware installation, monitoring, incident management, and ensuring high availability of IT systems in a 24×7 rotating shift environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain data center infrastructure, including structured cabling, racks, cabinets, servers, and network equipment.
- Perform installation, testing, labeling, and maintenance of CAT5, coaxial, and fiber cross-connects.
- Configure and manage network devices such as switches, firewalls, IPS, IP KVM, and SNMP-enabled devices.
- Monitor the health and availability of network and server infrastructure on a 24×7 rotating shift.
- Perform basic Windows Server administration and patch management.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and support service restoration.
- Manage incident, service request, and change management tickets while meeting SLA/OLA targets.
- Coordinate with Facilities, Security, and Surveillance teams to ensure optimal operation of Data Centers and ELV rooms.
- Maintain documentation, shift handovers, project support activities, and timesheets.
- Perform additional infrastructure-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Certifications
- Diploma in IT Network Engineering or equivalent.
- Network Management and Design certification.
- Windows Operating System Administration/Management certification.
Required Experience
- Experience working in a 24×7 mission-critical environment.
- Experience with large-scale data center installations, rack management, and structured cabling.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience installing and supporting server hardware (HP, IBM, Dell, Cisco preferred).
- Experience with storage and backup infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Layer 2 networking technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting LAN and WAN environments.
- Experience configuring routers, switches, and related networking equipment.
