Job summary

STARCITY CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a motivated Sales & Marketing Executive to drive sales in the construction sector. You will develop new business opportunities, maintain client relationships, promote services, and prepare quotations for potential clients.

Responsibilities include cold calling, meetings, site visits, tender submissions, and guiding projects from inquiry to award. Travel for outdoor sales visits is required, with strong negotiation and quotation skills expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably in construction or building materials.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and quotation-preparation skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven.
• Able to travel for outdoor sales visits.
• Knowledge of construction products or services is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, online research, business directories, and government platforms.
• Identify and pursue potential construction, renovation, maintenance, and tender opportunities.
• Schedule and conduct client meetings, site visits, and inspections to understand project requirements.
• Present the company’s services and capabilities to prospective and existing clients.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations, proposals, and tender submissions.
• Explain project scope and pricing, address client queries, and negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines.
• Monitor and manage sales leads, quotations, tenders, and opportunities from initial contact through project award.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to identify repeat business and new project opportunities.
• Coordinate with the Director, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Procurement, Operations, and Accounts teams to ensure smooth communication and project handover.
• Ensure client requirements are accurately communicated to the project team following the award of work.
• Maintain accurate records of client communications, leads, quotations, and sales activities in the CRM or sales database.
• Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates on business development activities and opportunities.
• Assist the Accounts Department in following up on outstanding payments while maintaining professional client relationships.
